Katherine Burik is a human resource executive with demonstrated expertise in implementing human resource strategies to solve business problems and maximize results.
She is an energetic and creative leader with a service focus to human resources. She has specific expertise in strategic human resource planning and coaching leadership teams to improve performance and results.
Katherine has opened greenfield start-up facilities and worked on mergers and acquisitions with success. She is particularly skilled at communication strategies, using leadership training, change management, coaching and newsletters to change culture, creating a paradigm shift in employee behavior from complacency to one of global and strategic thinking. Katherine earned her Six Sigma Greenbelt certification by driving Six Sigma initiatives using a strategic roadmap process.
Katherine was Vice President of Human Resources at MACtac in Stow, Ohio for nine years. She has been Vice President or Director of Human Resources at several medium sized companies in Chicago for six years before that, reporting to the President and CEO and responsible for the entire array of human resource functions.
She has her BA in History from Northwestern University and MS in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been certified as a Senior HR Professional by the Society of Human Resource Managers and is certified as a Registered Corporate Coach by the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Katherine also provides consulting services around wellness with the Health Initiative Project.
